Trace Elements A, B, C

Trace Elements A, B, C is a complete trace element supplement containing 18 essential elements corals require for growth, colour, and resilience. In thriving reef systems, these elements are rapidly depleted and must be replenished consistently. Trace Elements A, B, C delivers a balanced formulation that supports skeletal strength, tissue development, pigmentation, and coral vitality, ensuring your reef remains healthy and vibrant.

Key Benefits

  • Supplies 18 different trace elements essential for coral health.
  • Promotes stronger skeletal formation and faster growth.
  • Enhances pigmentation for richer, more vibrant colours.
  • Improves coral resilience and stress resistance.
  • Helps maintain stable trace element balance in growing reef tanks.
  • Promote Enzyme activation in corals.
  • Complements Calcium, Magnesium, and Alkalinity with Trace dosing for a complete reef-care system.

How It Works
Corals absorb and utilise trace elements for critical biological functions such as calcification, enzyme activity, and pigment formation. When trace elements are deficient, growth slows, colour fades, and resilience decreases. Trace Elements A, B, C replenishes these elements in a balanced ratio, keeping them bioavailable for corals to naturally assimilate. By maintaining adequate levels, corals achieve improved structure, enhanced colouration, and more robust metabolic activity.

Dosing Guidelines

  • Initial Week Protocol: When first starting Trace Elements A, B, C, dose your 3 daily amount daily for the first 2 days. This allows corals to rapidly replenish deficiencies. Corals that are lacking in certain elements will quickly absorb what they require, which can otherwise create a shortfall for others. This initial dosing ensures all corals are fully replenished.
  • Standard Ongoing Dose (every 3 days):
    • Low Stocking Density: 2 mL per 100 L
    • Medium Stocking Density: 3 mL per 100 L
    • High Stocking Density: 4 mL per 100 L
  • If unsure, begin with the lower dose and adjust gradually based on coral response.
  • Every reef is unique; start slow, ICP test regularly, and observe coral response to fine-tune your dosing routine.

Application Tips

  • Dose into a high-flow area such as the sump or return chamber for even distribution.
  • Monitor coral response; improved polyp extension, growth, and colour are good indicators.
  • Avoid sudden large increases in dose; stability is critical.
  • Use in conjunction with Calcium, Magnesium, and Alkalinity with Trace dosing to provide a complete spectrum of essential elements.
  • Combine with regular water testing and ICP analysis for best long-term results.

Safety & Handling

  • Not for human or animal consumption.

  • Supports coral stress resistance, colouration, and growth.
  • Reduces nuisance algae outbreaks caused by high nitrate.
  • Encourages long-term nutrient stability.

How It Works

Nitrate Reducer does not directly remove nitrate; instead, it promotes natural processes within the aquarium that gradually convert or consume nitrate. This controlled reduction helps prevent sudden swings and maintains a balanced reef environment.

Dosing Guidelines

  • Initial Dose: 1 mL per 100 liters (26 gallons) daily for the first week.
  • After the first week, test nitrate and increase by 1–2 mL per 100 L every 3 days until desired nitrate level is reached.
  • Target range: 1–5 ppm.
  • Always test nitrate regularly to track changes and fine-tune dosing.

Application Tips

  • Dose into a high-flow area of your sump or display tank for best distribution.
  • Cloudiness may occur due to a bacterial bloom, this indicates the system is adjusting to the dose and that you have increased the dose too quickly.
  • If cloudiness is excessive, or if fish show signs of rapid breathing, momentarily stop the dosing and perform a small water change. Once cloudiness subsides resume dosing at a smaller rate.
  • In some cases, your protein skimmer may become more effective, helping to pull nutrients out of the water as the product works.
  • Adjust dosing gradually based on your system’s consumption rate and bioload.

Safety & Handling

  • Not for human consumption.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Avoid contact with skin or eyes; wear gloves and eye protection.

Phosphate Reducer

Phosphate Reducer is a fast acting phosphate remover alternative to lanthanum chloride which can cause undesirable issues. Its iron base is designed for safe and effective use in reef aquariums when used correctly. By targeting and binding free phosphate molecules in the water column, it helps reduce unwanted algae growth, stabilise nutrient levels, and promote optimal coral health and colouration. It leaves no residual free iron in your system.

 Key Benefits

  • Reduces phosphate by 0.05 ppm per 1 mL per 100 L.
  • Supports coral growth, coloration, and nutrient uptake.
  • Helps prevent nuisance algae outbreaks.
  • Leaves no residual iron or harmful by-products.
  • Improves overall water clarity and stability.

How It Works
Uses an iron based solution that reacts quickly in saltwater. When added, the pH shift of the of the solution causes precipitation of phosphate molecules by binding them to iron. This creates insoluble compounds that are then removed through mechanical filtration (e.g., skimmers, filter socks, settling and removed on your next gravel clean). No residual free iron remains in your system.

Dosing Guidelines

  • Standard Dose: 1 mL per 100 liters (26 gallons) Reduces phosphate by approximately 0.05 ppm.
  • Start slow, begin with half the recommended dose for the first week.
  • Adjust gradually and monitor phosphate levels and coral response, then increase dosage.
  • Always increase the dosage slowly over a few days and test your water regularly to confirm your systems phosphate replenishment rate.
  • Maintain a balanced nitrate to phosphate ratio (~100:1 is ideal)
  • Reduce your phosphate levels by a maximum of 0.05ppm per day.

Example: If nitrate = 4ppm → phosphate should be ~0.04ppm.

Application Tips

  • Always dose into your sump or in a high-flow baffle section to ensure even distribution
  • Avoid direct dosing into the display tank, instead use in your sump, baffle or dose slowly over the day to get safe and even distribution. Concentrated solution may irritate fish.
  • Automatic dosing is ideal for controlled and consistent application.
  • Regular phosphate testing is essential to avoid overdosing or stripping nutrients too quickly.

Safety & Handling

  • Not for human consumption
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Avoid contact with skin or eyes - eye protection and gloves recommended.
  • If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly for 15 minutes and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
  • Acidic - handle with care (pH of approximately 2.5 - similar to vinegar)

Best Used When

  • Phosphate levels are creeping up or out of balance.
  • Algae growth is increasing despite good husbandry.
  • You want to fine-tune nutrient levels for coral colouration and growth.
  • As part of a regular nutrient management routine in a reef tank.

Dino Destroy (Dinoflagellate Treatment)

Fight Back Against Dino Outbreaks Naturally

Dino Destroy is a live diatom phytoplankton culture specifically formulated to help reef tank owners combat nuisance dinoflagellate outbreaks. Diatoms outcompete dinos by consuming available silicates and occupying the same ecological niche, reducing the resources dinos need to thrive.

Unlike chemical treatments or blackout methods, Dino Destroy works with your reef’s biology to tip the scales in your favour. By introducing a dense population of beneficial diatoms, you can suppress dinoflagellate growth and promote a healthier, more stable ecosystem.

How It Works:

Diatoms compete directly with dinoflagellates for light and nutrients. By dosing Dino Destroy, you're seeding your tank with a natural rival to help starve out the dinos without harming sensitive tank inhabitants.

Directions for Use:

Dose 10–20 mL per 100L (26 gallons) daily. Best dosed during lights-on period. Swirl gently before use. Refrigerate. Use within 4 weeks.

Safety:

Not for human consumption

Reef Floc

Reef Floc works by neutralising tiny particles like dust, free floating algae, and dissolved organic compounds that are constantly suspended in your aquarium water. These particles typically carry a slight electrical charge, causing them to repel each other and remain too small for your filter to capture effectively.

Once neutralised, the particles clump together (a process called flocculation) into larger, heavier masses. These larger particles are then easily removed by your mechanical filtration (like filter socks, sponge filters and skimmers) or simply settle out, leaving your water column polished and exceptionally clear.

Key Benefits

  • Rapidly clears cloudy water and enhances water clarity.
  • Helps control cyanobacteria.
  • Supports coral health by improving light penetration and helping deliver micro-particles to feeding corals.
  • Can aid in reducing populations of vermetid snails by clogging or choking their feeding tubes.
  • Boosts filtration efficiency by allowing filter socks, media, and skimmers to remove more waste.

Dosing Guidelines

  • Standard Dose: Add 10 mL per 100 litres (26 gallons) of aquarium water.
  • Can be used after water changes, heavy feedings, or whenever water appears cloudy.
  • Safe for frequent use; inert formulation won’t alter water chemistry.

Tip: Combine with Bacteria Pro for improved biological balance and to reintroduce beneficial bacteria after heavy cleaning or treatment.

Safety Information

  • Safe for all reef tank inhabitants when used as directed
  • Non toxic and inert, won’t harm corals, fish, or inverts
  • Not for human consumption
  • Keep out of reach of children

Live Ciliates

If you’re looking to give your reef tank a little microbial boost, Euplotes ciliates are a tiny but powerful addition! These little protozoans might be invisible to the naked eye, but they play a big role in your tank’s ecosystem.

Why You Should Add Euplotes:
Perfect First Food for Larval Fish & Tiny Inverts: Their small size makes them ideal for baby fish and invertebrates that can’t eat larger plankton yet.

Natural Microbial Clean-Up Crew: Euplotes graze on bacteria and microalgae, helping balance your tank’s microfauna.

Support the Microbial Loop: They act as a bridge between bacteria and larger plankton, keeping your reef’s food web thriving.

Indirect Coral Benefits: By feeding on bacteria in coral mucus, they may help keep microbes that are harmful in check.

When Not to Add Them:
Euplote cilliates won’t harm your tank, but they won’t dramatically change coral growth or overall tank health.

Important Note: Only get Euplotes from a trusted supplier. Some ciliates can harm corals and other tank inhabitants, so it’s crucial to know exactly what species you’re adding.

Bottom line: Euplotes are a fantastic tool for reef hobbyists who want to raise healthy larvae, enrich microfauna diversity, or support a natural microbial ecosystem, all will benefiting your corals.
