Coral Dip

Every new coral is a gamble. Flatworms, nudibranchs, red bugs and parasitic snails arrive hidden in the tissue and packed into the base of a frag, and by the time they are visible in your display they have usually already spread. Coral Dip is the step that stops them at the door.

A gentle but highly effective coral treatment and antiseptic, formulated to remove harmful bacteria, pests, parasites and unwanted hitchhikers from new or stressed corals without harming healthy tissue. It is safe across every coral type, including SPS, LPS and soft corals, and doubles as a restorative bath for corals that arrive damaged or stressed from shipping.

Used as part of a simple quarantine routine, Coral Dip prevents tank-wide infestations before they start and gives every new piece the best possible chance of settling in well.

Dosing and Usage Guidelines

• Standard dip: mix 10 mL of Coral Dip per 1 L of clean saltwater.
• Dip time: immerse the coral for 10 minutes.
• Agitation: use a turkey baster, syringe or pipette to gently blow across the coral's tissue and skeleton during the dip to dislodge pests.
• Rinse: after dipping, rinse the coral in fresh saltwater before adding it to the aquarium.
• Do not add Coral Dip directly to your tank.
• Always remove any visible eggs or algae by hand. Coral Dip will not kill eggs or algae.

Every coral is different. Always observe coral behaviour during dipping, and reduce the dip time to 5 minutes for sensitive species.
