01Build the skeleton

Alkalinity+

Alkalinity is the carbonate corals use to lay down new skeleton, and it is the parameter that swings fastest in a busy reef. Alkalinity+ raises it safely and predictably, with 1 mL per 100 L lifting alkalinity by about 0.1 dKH.

Hold it steady between 8 and 9 dKH for strong, even growth.

Calcium+
02Feed the growth

Calcium+

Calcium is the other half of the coral skeleton, drawn down all day by corals, coralline algae and inverts. Calcium+ tops it back up at about 1 ppm per mL per 100 L, keeping levels stable for healthy, continuous growth.

Magnesium+
03Hold it all together

Magnesium+

Magnesium is the quiet one that keeps calcium and alkalinity in balance. Without enough of it, the other two will not hold and start to precipitate out. Magnesium+ maintains it at about 10 ppm per 20 mL per 100 L.

A simple dosing routine

Stable parameters come from a steady routine, not big corrections. Here is the order that keeps things calm.

Test first

Measure alkalinity, calcium and magnesium so you know your starting point.

Bring magnesium up

Get magnesium into range first, since calcium and alkalinity will not hold without it.

Dial in alk and calcium

Raise alkalinity to 8 to 9 dKH and calcium into the normal reef range, then dose daily to keep pace.

Re-test weekly

Check weekly and tune your daily dose so all three hold steady as your corals grow.
