The dino fight

Three ways to take back your tank

Dinoflagellates are one of the most stubborn pests a reef keeper can face. They bloom back overnight, shrug off blackouts, and a single product rarely finishes the job.

This pack takes a different approach: three live biological tools that hit dinos from three directions at once, working with your reef instead of against it.

Bacteria Pro
01Rebuild the microbiome

Bacteria Pro

Bacteria Pro floods your system with concentrated, fast-colonising beneficial bacteria. They settle into the rock, substrate and filter media, then get to work breaking down the excess nutrients that let dinos take hold in the first place.

By crowding the tank with healthy competition, they make it far harder for any single pest to dominate. Add it to food and the same microbes become a probiotic for your fish.

  • Colonises rock, substrate and filter media
  • Breaks down the excess nutrients dinos feed on
  • Boosts microbial diversity to crowd out pests
  • Doubles as a gut probiotic when added to food

Dino Destroy
02Outcompete them

Dino Destroy

Dino Destroy is a live diatom phytoplankton culture, and diatoms are a dino's natural rival. They feed on the same silicate and claim the same ecological niche, so a dense diatom population quietly starves dinos of the resources they need.

It works with your reef's own biology to tip the balance, with no blackout and no harsh chemicals.

  • Live diatom phytoplankton culture
  • Consumes the silicate dinos compete for
  • Occupies the same niche dinos rely on
  • No blackout or harsh chemicals needed

Live Copepods
03Graze them down

Live Copepods

Live copepods are the boots on the ground. These benthic grazers spread across the rock and sand and physically work through dinos and detritus, keeping surfaces clean where blooms usually start.

Seed them early and they build a lasting, self-sustaining population that keeps grazing long after the outbreak fades, and feeds your fish along the way.

  • Benthic grazers that work across rock and sand
  • Seed a lasting, self-sustaining pod population
  • Natural live food for mandarins, wrasse and fry
  • Backed by our Best Bottle Guarantee

How to run the pack

Dinos are beaten with patience and pressure from every side. This is the order that works.

1

Confirm and prep

Make sure you are actually dealing with dinos, then check your nutrients. Dinos love a stripped, ultra-low-nutrient tank, so let nitrate and phosphate sit at a healthy reading rather than zero.

2

Seed the competition

Dose Bacteria Pro and add Dino Destroy together. The bacteria rebuild diversity while the diatoms start claiming the silicate and space that dinos rely on.

3

Send in the grazers

Add your live copepods after lights-out so they settle onto the rock and sand, then let them graze dinos and detritus through the night.

4

Hold the line

Keep flow up, siphon visible dinos, and stay consistent for a week or two. Re-dose as the population settles and let the biology do the heavy lifting.

One angle is a gamble. Three is a strategy.

Dinos dig in because most fixes only pull one lever. This pack pulls three at once: bacteria take their food, diatoms take their space, and copepods eat them off the rock. Squeezed from every side, dinos lose the foothold they need to take over.
